Advocacy Arena
Terms & policies
Last updated: 1 September 2026
About these terms
Advocacy Arena provides interactive simulations of legal, policy and governance scenarios for education and training. By creating an account or using the platform you agree to these terms and the policies below.
We may update these terms from time to time. If we make material changes we will take reasonable steps to notify account holders, and continued use of the platform after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
Simulations, not advice
Everything inside a game — scenarios, documents, characters and their statements — is fictional material created for learning. Nothing on the platform is legal advice, and nothing generated by a character or by the platform should be relied on for any real matter. If you need advice about a real situation, consult a qualified professional.
AI-supported characters
Characters in the simulations are supported by artificial intelligence. Their responses are generated in role and may be inaccurate, incomplete or inconsistent with real law and practice — that is part of the exercise, not a defect. Conversations you have with characters may be reviewed by facilitators and administrators for the purposes of running sessions, giving feedback and improving scenarios.
Accounts and acceptable use
Access is by invitation. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for the activity that occurs under your account.
You agree not to misuse the platform: no attempts to gain unauthorised access, disrupt sessions, harvest content or data at scale, use the platform to generate unlawful or harmful material, or harass other participants. We may suspend or close accounts involved in misuse.
Your content
You keep ownership of the content you create on the platform, such as messages, file notes, submissions and feedback. You grant us a licence to store, display and process that content as needed to operate the platform, run your sessions and improve the scenarios. Facilitators and administrators of your sessions can see content you create within those sessions.
Our content
The games, scenarios, documents, characters and the platform itself are our intellectual property or that of our licensors. You may use them for participating in sessions you have been given access to. You may not copy, republish or commercially exploit them without our written permission.
Privacy
We collect the information needed to run the platform: your name and email address, the role you hold in games, and the content and activity you generate in sessions. We use it to operate and improve the platform and to communicate with you about your access.
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers that host and support the platform (such as our database and AI providers), and only as needed to provide the service. You can ask us to delete your account and associated personal information by contacting us.
Enquiries and waitlist
If you submit an enquiry or join the waitlist, we use the details you provide to respond and to let you know about relevant games and programs. You can ask to be removed at any time.
Liability
The platform is provided on an as-is basis for education and training. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we exclude liability for loss arising from reliance on simulation content, from interruptions to the service, or from use of the platform contrary to these terms. Nothing in these terms excludes rights that cannot be excluded under applicable consumer law.
